How to sell more fruit with positive thinking
I’ve just stumbled on a great way of promoting sales of
fruit. It has come from a life coach called Nikki Owen, who describes herself
as ‘the UK’s leading confidence and charisma specialist’.
Anyway, it turns out that Nikki wants everyone to do the ‘Big
Apple Experiment’. As part of this experiment, you cut an apple into two halves
and put each half in a jar. Then you give out ‘loving words and thoughts’ to
one half of the apple and ‘hateful words and thoughts to the other’.
By the end of the week, Nikki reckons that one half of the
apple (the loving half) should be crisp and radiant, while the other should be
rotten and decayed.
This seems to be a great way of boosting fruit sales.
Growers should encourage everyone to buy pieces of fruit, cut them into bits
and talk to them. I’ve looked on the English Apples and Pears website and there’s
no mention of this. I think they’re missing a trick.
Incidentally, I have started this experiment with a cooking
apple from the tree in my garden. I’ll let you know how I get on. Here’s a
picture of my wife bombarding one of the pieces of apple with negative vibes.
